Evaluations

From young children to seniors, each person's functional capabilities are identified with the appropriate assistive device(s) and/or environment(s).

Reports, documenting the evaluation, are then provided in the format of the program service, such as Medicaid/Private Insurance (ISP), Special Education (IEP) , and/or Vocational Rehabilitation(IPE). See also funding assistance.

TechWorks staff take a comprehensive look at the types of assistive technology devices and training best suitable to the person.

For example: school/office accommodations, augmentative communication devices, environment controls, home accessibility, and activities of daily living devices.

The technology and service identified will be customized to the person, including the person's existing technologies, social and physical environments. In this way, the TechWorks client will be more successful and independent at home, school, work, using transportation and/or in recreation.

Evaluations are also accepted and can be used from service providers with other programs and schools, such as OTs, PTs, or SLPs.
